Men in Schools Group

Our Dad’s play an important part in our children’s education.

The main message is the importance of Dads being involved in their child’s school and education, whether it is taking children to school, helping out in the class, reading each night or helping out with homework. The message that children receive is that school is very important to Dad’s.

The Men in Schools group was formed in 1998 with the aim of welcoming and encouraging fathers and guardians to be part of their child’s education and school.

Our Men in Schools group has achieved a lot over the years. Some of the activities have included;

  • Annual Bush Camp
  • School Disco
  • Social activities such as Bowling, Games Nights, Movie Nights
  • Information evenings and discussion groups (Manhood and Raising Boys)
  • Helping out at school functions and in the classroom

If you would like to be involved in this initiative please contact the school.

Family Buddy Program

New families to St Augustine’s are paired up with an existing family group.

In 2010, St Augustine’s introduced the family buddy program. This is where new families to St Augustine’s are paired up with an existing family. The program is designed to help new families with their introduction to life at St Augustine’s. It provides new families with a contact person that they can ask those everyday important questions as well as providing a familiar face at social functions. The program commences with a meet and greet BBQ during Term 4.

Any family interested in being part of the program, please contact the office.
